Description

NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE Jo, a trans man, meets Allie, a trans woman—and sparks fly. As the relationship of these two New Yorkers evolves through busy careers, raising children, and their ongoing gender transitions, the couple makes plans to get married—“the most traditional progressive wedding” ever, proclaims their presiding minister. Having come so far as individuals, finding love to create a new foundation of family is a national testimonial in a time of rising transphobia. - Jaie Laplante

The first and second screenings will be followed by a Q&A with director/writer/editor Matylda Kawka, director of photography Marcin Kapron, and film protagonsists Allie Brashears and Joseph Schneier.

All in-person screening venues provide sound amplification headphones upon request with venue management. IFC Center can also provide a T-Coil loop for compatible devices.
