NYC PREMIERE Lenin, a young Peruvian musician, takes inspiration from K-Pop to make music that showcases his Indigenous identity and vanishing ancestral language. With energy and enthusiasm to spare, both the film and the performer entertain and educate in equal measure, resulting in a delightful lark of a documentary.
The first screening will be followed by a Q&A with director Adri Murguia, producer Jamie Rogers Caballero, and protagonist Lenin Tamayo.
