NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE November 17, 1980, is a watershed date for American feminism. It was the day when thousands of women surrounded the Pentagon in protest of Ronald Reagan’s war policies. Filmmaker Bojina Panayotova reconstructs that forgotten history through a fiery archival collage that brings together songs, accounts, footage, and testimonies. With sound, images, and texts, her archive of a movement serves as an instructional guide to those who, decades on, are fighting the same fight today. - Bedatri D. Choudhury
