NYC PREMIERE As tweens in California, four best friends made movies and music together with youthful abandon, harboring pipe dreams of stardom. After a secret album they created was bizarrely rediscovered in the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, the women, now in their 30s, reunite to see if they might recapture their creative spark. Built around the director’s childhood diaries and charming VHS footage, the film is an upbeat, heartwarming portrait of creativity, fearlessness, and the magical bonds of childhood friendships. - Karen McMullen
