The backbone of Give Me the Ball! is a major new sit-down interview with Billie Jean King, who, at 81, is both boisterous and reflective. The icon who changed both the worlds of both tennis and women's athletics has plenty new to say about her legacy and the state of the sports world, as directors Elizabeth Wolff and Oscar-nominated Liz Garbus weave a stunning trove of archival material around BJK's epic life story. Winner, Audience Award / Best Documentary Feature, Provincetown International Film Festival.
The first screening will be followed by a Q&A with directors Liz Garbus and Elizabeth Wolff and producers Chris James and Dan Cogan.
All in-person screening venues provide sound amplification headphones upon request with venue management. IFC Center can also provide a T-Coil loop for compatible devices.
